Downward Dog Tunnel
Want a fun way to spice up a classic yoga pose? Get some friends together and build a tunnel! This take on down dog can spark the imagination. Is it a subway system? A breathing caterpillar? A snake? A bridge? A doggie conga line? What can you create with your body and your breath?
To get into the pose:
Lie on your belly, with your hands framing your chest. Keeping the elbows in, tuck the toes, and and on an inhale, lift the hips up and back. Stack some friends up in a line, and create a tunnel to journey through!
Benefits: Strengthens the arms, back and core. Opens the backs of the legs, hands, and arches of the feet. Calms the brain and energizes the body! Having fun too!
